  2. My Personal, Professional and
    Family Plan
    for Rejuvenation
Knowing what you have learned and reflected about yourself and your life during this course list below what you would like to begin to do for more balance and energy in your life.
List Action Steps That You Will Take to Jump Start This Process.

Personally I am going to work toward a healthier lifestyle.

    Action Steps:
    1. I have joined Yoga Empowerment and plan to go 3-4 times per week. I am also planning to walk my dog every day (as soon as it warms up a bit).

    2. I will be quitting smoking by the middle of March. I am reading a book called The Easy Way to Quit Smoking. Basically this book says that it is mind over matter. Because I am starting to exercise, I look forward to giving up the smoking so that I can have a more successful workout.

    3. I will continue to watch my sugar intake to make weight loss a little easier. I seem to be an all or nothing kind of dieter, so I have to make the ‘all’ more of my norm than the ‘nothing’! I am also trying to drink more water each day.

Professionally I want to make the students have the most memorable 5th grade year that they can.

    Action Steps:
    1. Wake up every day with the thought that its going to be a great day for learning and being a 5th grade teacher! With my own enthusiasm, I hope to spark my students interest in doing their best work possible.

    2. I want to give them something new and meaningful to think about every day, both academically and personally.

    3. I want them to love school and feel that it is a safe, caring, and fun environment. When they leave 5th grade, they will be excited to go to 6th grade to continue their learning!

Family I want my kids to have a positive self image and believe that they can do anything they put their mind to. I want to see them become positive and helpful members of society.

    Action Steps
    1. I will continue to support and encourage my kids each and every day and I will continue to let them know how much I love them. I do feel that I need to be a little stricter with them, and hold them more accountable for chores around the house.
    2. I am going to encourage my kids to do more volunteering. They need to know the act of being selfless and help others for no other reason than to be kind.
